Kugihiki or "wooden nail cutter" is used for flush cutting wooden pegs or dowels precisely. It has an extremely flexible blade, allowing one to follow contours in the work piece.

Rattan Wrapped Handle
A classic wooden handle wrapped in natural rattan. It is light, offers good grip, and has a traditional look and feel that many woodworkers prefer.
Impulse-Hardening
The teeth are hardened with a quick, high‑frequency heat treatment so they stay sharp up to three times longer than normal teeth. These blades cut very fast and clean but generally cannot be resharpened and are replaced when dull.
Non-Set Teeth
The teeth sit within the blade’s thickness instead of being bent outward like many Western saws. Combined with a taper ground blade, this gives very smooth, fast cuts with minimal waste and a very clean surface.
